FELMAN PRODUCTION TO RESTART ONE FURNACE, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

NEW HAVEN, W. Va. (July 1, 2014) – Felman Production, LLC (“Felman” or the “Company”) today announced that it will immediately begin to resume plant operations following an agreement that it has reached with the Appalachian Power Company (“APCo”) regarding a market variable electrical rate. The rate was a necessary component in enabling the ongoing economic viability of Felman’s New Haven manufacturing site.  The Company plans to fully resume production in two of its three furnaces by the end of July.

GEORGIAN AMERICAN ALLOYS, INC. REDUCES PRODUCTION OFSILICOMANGANESE

 - Idles Furnace at Subsidiary Georgian Manganese’s Zestafoni Ferroalloy Plant -    

  - Idle Period to Allow for Planned Upgrades to Furnace -

MIAMI, FL (June 16, 2014) – Georgian American Alloys, Inc., the parent company of Felman Production LLC, CC Metals and Alloys, LLC, Felman Trading, Inc. and Georgian Manganese, LLC, today announced that it has reduced production of silicomanganese at its Georgian based operations for an indefinite period of time. Georgian Manganese, LLC, a leading producer and exporter of silicomanganese to the United States, has idled one of its electric arc furnaces at its Zestafoni Ferroalloy Plant, effective June 1, 2014.

FELMAN PRODUCTION’S APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL ELECTRIC RATE AUTHORIZED BY WEST VIRGINIA’S PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION 

NEW HAVEN, W. Va. (April 4, 2014) – Felman Production, LLC (“Felman”) today announced that West Virginia’s Public Service Commission (“PSC”) issued an order (“Order”) that establishes a special variable rate plan based on market conditions in which Felman would receive a discount off its electricity costs when the ferroalloy market is down and pay a premium when times are good.
