Eramet and AEP agree on Marietta power deal

American Electric Power and Eramet Marietta have entered into an agreement that permits Eramet to buy electricity from a competitive supplier for its manganese ferroalloys plant near the Ohio River in Washington County, Ohio, according to an October 29 filing with the Ohio Public Utilities Commission.

Felman continues with two furnaces: USW official

Felman Production continues to operate two furnaces at its 105,000 mt/year silicomanganese plant along the Ohio River in New Haven, West Virginia, but apparently has no immediate plans to restart a third furnace, according to a United Steelworkers union official.
